Surroundings
Nisse with its rectangular church square and vaete, (drinking well) and the 15th-century St. Mary’s Church is one of the most beautiful villages in Zeeland.
The village lies in the middle of the nature reserve “the Zak van Zuid-Beveland”, known for the lush flower dikes and meadows with hawthorn hedges.
Because of this so-called bocage landscape, near the Westerschelde, there are a number of beautiful walking and cycling routes.
The landscape is characterized by kilometers of dykes and authentic polders.
Nisse is 10 minutes from Goes, a pleasant tourist town with all amenities.
Middelburg, known for its many monuments, and Vlissingen, known for the beautiful boulevard are at +/- 20 minutes away.
Also the beaches of Dishoek, Zoutelande, Domburg are easy to reach.
